The history of Bodega del Abad began in June 2003. The winery is equipped with modern equipment for the production of white and red wines from local varieties of grapes. For white wines, stainless steel vats are used up to 400,000 liters, and there are also 8 containers of 20,000 liters each, specially designed for the production of red wines. The annual output is 250,000 bottles, of which 50,000 are white wines, and 200,000 are red. To withstand wine used barrels of French oak. The company Vicente Gandia was founded by Mr. Vicente Gandia Pla in 1885. Passion to wine was passed down from generation to generation, and, what is very important, the company managed to preserve the intention and the main goal of the founder: to improve the quality of produced wines every year, which are a part of world winemaking. Creation of high-quality wines is the result of knowledge, experience, efforts, traditions of winemaking. Following the principles of continuous growth and improvement, Bodega Vicente Gandia is now one of the leading Spanish wineries, representing a diverse range of wines from all the most interesting wine regions of Spain. Currently, Vicente Gandia wines are represented in 85 countries on all five continents. The company exports 75% of the produced wines, and the rest of the products we sell in Spain. The wines received more than 200 international awards and prizes: the wine Generacion 1 (Challenge International du Vin France and Mundus Vini Germany); Ceremonia (Challenge International du Vin Bordeaux and London Wine Trade Fair); Fusta Nova (Best Muscatel of Spain, Prize “Nariz de Oro”) and Hoya de Cadenas Reserva (Best Buy Wine Spectator); The best wine of the restaurant and hotel business (Amsterdam). In recognition of the work done in the wine world, in 1996 Don José M Gandia was accepted into the knights of the Order of Wine in Britain; and in 2007 FENAVIN awarded Mr. Gandia with “international recognition for his life dedicated to guilt” (a prize that also received the acclaimed international critic Robert Parker).
