Domain Viticole de la Ville de Colmar (Alsace)

Founded in 1895 by the famous ampelograph Chrétien OBERLIN, the Domaine Viticole de la Ville de Colmar enjoys a particularly privileged situation in the heart of the vines of Alsace.

Mr. and Mrs. Haeffelin manage the estate, developing quality wines on exceptional sites. Their approach respects the originality of the terroirs. Ancestors of estate owners were engaged with viticulture since 16th century.

Domaine Viticole de la Ville de Colmar extends across the best sunny slopes of the neighbouring village. In Colmar, the heart of the Alsatian wines, Domaine Viticole de la Ville de Colmar owns two sites: the Clos St Jacques where it is situated, as well as the prestigious Domaine des Hospices Civils Louis Pasteur de Colmar.

The domain also extends across the best slopes of the neighboring villages: one site located on the remains of Greek-Roman settlement in Wettolsheim, excellent Grand Cru Pfersigberg in Eguisheim, registered as Grand Cru Quality vine, and the surprising Grand Cru Hengst in Wintzenheim, also registered as Grand Cru Quality.

Production process thoroughly followed according to purely tradition Alsatian results in generous wines of supreme quality regularly awarded at various competitions of French wine-makers.
