1883 de Philibert Routin

Of course, France, having a good taste, does not have a monopoly on it! At the same time all over the world, French drinks and dishes always took their own, special, noble position. There are two main reasons for this: creative thinking and the desire to preserve the true tastes that nature gives us. Philibert Ruten, the founder of the firm that bears his name since 1883, was one of those outstanding people who managed to preserve what had originally had an excellent taste.

Throughout the development process from a small family business in 1883 to a large industrial company today, the company Ruten has always adhered to the philosophy of its founder: “Keep the power that nature gives us and pass it on to as many people as possible”

Using the recipes for extracts, which have remained unchanged for more than a century, Ruten continues to successfully create harmonious connections. Preservation of traditions and innovative approach led to the fact that Ruten became the leading developer of concentrated drinks and the custodian of true tastes.

1883 – Philibert Ruten, a resident of the province of Savoy, founded the company Vermout-Routin, whose products, vermouth and alcoholic beverages, already in 1902 won prestigious awards at the international exhibition in London.

1960 – the company is experiencing a stage of major expansion associated with the growth of tourism in the Alps. A specialized herb store is opened to meet the growing demand for balms based on mountain plants.

1976 – this year became significant in the life of the Savoy company, which received its first major contract for the production of syrups under its own TM.

1978 – at the Selecion Mondiale Alcools (World Exhibition of Alcoholic Beverages and Brandy) in Geneva, Ruten’s achievements in the field of liqueurs are marked with a gold medal.

1983 – the company Ruten continues to develop outside of France, conquering the markets of northern Europe.

1987 – the creation of the Department of Research and Development, as well as the first integrated laboratory of sensory analysis in Europe.

1990 – construction of a unique in Europe factory Cristal – ultramodern plant for the production of syrups.

1996 – development of TM “1883 de Philibert Routin” in order to meet the new consumer demand for tastes.

1997 – Ruten Group successfully receives ISO 9002 certificate.

2002 – the quality of syrups is recognized all over the world, the brand becomes international.

2014 – development of TM “1883 Maison Routin”

Production process:

Schematically, the production process can be represented as follows

Natural extract + Juices + Fructose + Water = Syrup

Quality control:

Raw material is physicochemical (density, acidity), organoleptic (color, odor, taste) and microbiological control before production.

Mixing of ingredients:

Mixing is carried out at ambient temperature, which allows to preserve the natural structure of the components.

Pasteurization

Flash pasteurization is performed at high temperature (104 degrees Celsius), which allows to provide syrups for a long period of storage without the use of preservatives.

Storage and bottling

Syrups are stored in anticorrosive steel food containers before bottling, eliminating the oxidation of the product. Filling syrups is done without access to the system.

The production is fully automated. The influence of man is minimized.

Compliance with the highest requirements.

Advantages of syrups:

1) Many years of experience. For more than 100 years, Ruten has accumulated experience in extracting extracts, which ensures a constant true taste of syrups that meet the high consumer requirements for quality.

2) Natural Ingredients. Ruten uses its own know-how in the field of distillation and extraction of extracts from natural fruits, berries and plants. We boldly declare that syrups of 1883 are 100% natural.

3) Shelf life. Syrups 1883 are produced in accordance with traditional methods and the latest technologies, which allows to preserve the natural taste qualities in the preparation of the product for 3 years.

4) Water. Syrups 1883 are produced using water of special fine cleaning from the vicinity of the Alpine mountains.

5) Sweetness. In the production of syrups 1883, fruit sugar-fructose is used, which is a dietary product and absolutely harmless to humans. They can be consumed even by sick people with diabetes. Fructose, unlike sucrose and sugar substitutes, gives the person energy and strength, and also stimulates the absorption of various minerals, which in turn allows the use of syrups for the preparation of various drinks and cocktails in sports bars and fitness clubs.

6) Cost-effectiveness. As is known, fructose is sweeter in its properties than sucrose by 40-90%, so the use of fructose in syrups of 1883 makes it possible to reduce the consumption of these syrups by 25% compared to the products of other brands.

7) Application in hot drinks. Ingredients of syrups 1883 perfectly tolerate the high temperature of the drink, without folding the milk and preserving its flavor, whether it is
